Vegetable Khaman Dhoklas Recipe

Take a cup of besan into a mixing bowl. Add some salt and sugar. Now add it into a little bit of water. Be careful during adding water. Not too much add water. We don’t make it not very thick and very thin. Now mix it for about a minute. Keep it aside for a minute. Now heat up some water for streaming. You can take it an idli cooker. We add some water, about 3-4 inch water inside it. Now place a wire stand and cover it and heat up in a low flame.

Now take some vegetables. any type of vegetables you can take. Take a little bit of carrot, a little bit of paneer, green chilli, coriander. Just take a small piece of Ginger and them to a chopper. Now we have a fine mixture of vegetables. You can use any type of vegetables. Now use 5 1/2 inch cake tin to make Dhoklas. Now add baking soda and citric acid into a bowl. Mix it very well. Add the mixture with proper better also add vegetables. Mix it very well. Now add it into the tin. Put it into inside an idli stand. For about 2-3 minute on high flame than we have to cook this into a low flame around 10-15 minutes.

Now making a tadka. Take a frying pan and add some oil, add some mustard seeds, Now add 4 chillies, add some sugar, add lemon juice and salt also. Also, add 1/2 cup of water. Now, wait for it cool down. Now it’s ready.

  • citric acid – 1 teaspoon
  • oil – 1 teaspoon
  • mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt – as per taste
  • sugar – 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • chilli – 4
  • lemon juice – 1/2 teaspoon
